Edward Van Dreal comes for a long line of creative and highly educated people. His father, George Van Dreal, is a retired math and science teacher and a well-known and highly acclaimed watercolor artist. Why is this important? Because Edward grew up under the direction of his father, who has been a major artistic influence in Edward’s life. Ed’s artistic career commenced when he produced his first film at the age of thirteen for an English class project. Using a Super Eight camera and absolutely no knowledge of how to shoot or edit a short film, Edward produced a ten minute oeuvre entitled "Hobos of Coon Jive County." He went on to produce his second film while attending Saint Marie's Community College entitled "Day Dream" and won first place at the UCLA film festival in 1981 in the Outside Entry class.

Through out Edward’s life, his continued work in film and still photography garnished attention from many sectors. Working for Showtime magazine in 1984 as a fashion photographer, he clearly helped the magazine sell more copies with his unique style of photography. He states: "I look through the lens and I see a good shot, I wait two seconds and I get a great shot. It just seems to fall in my lap and then I hit the shutter. It’s a gift from God and not something learned in a book. I grew up watching my father take pictures for his paintings. He never really sat me down and told me how to shoot great pictures, but it was from observation and the occasional “sneaking” of his camera that enabled him to learn.” From handling a professional camera, he was able to grow exponentially in his innate abilities. One of his other mentors was Sherwood Schwartz, a well-known producer of such films as “Gilligan’s Island” and “The Brady Bunch.”

Ed’s strengths are his commitment to producing an exceptional product, whether this is in videography, photography or website development, and giving 150% to it. Diligent in execution and possessing a keen attention to detail, Ed will produce a product that is professional and customized to his client’s requirements. His long list of testimonials from previous clients will attest to this fact.
